On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office scaled back its active search for missing camper, Tiffany Slaton. This after our Search and Rescue (SAR) team spent five straight days / nights combing the mountain area for Slaton and her belongings. The search spanned nearly 600 square miles, stretching from Mono Hot Springs to Wishon Reservoir, Pine Flat Lake to Auberry and all areas in between. Unfortunately, SAR never found anything related to Slaton.
The last confirmed sighting of Slaton came from citizens, who say they saw her in the area of the old Cressman’s General Store on April 24th.
Detectives are now asking the public to notify them of any video they may have captured on or around April 24th. This includes surveillance cameras, dash cameras, etc. There is a possibility Slaton travelled along Auberry Road and past Pine Ridge School in order to access Highway 168.
Tiffany Slaton of Jeffersonville, Georgia went camping alone in the Shaver Lake / Huntington Lake area on April 20, 2025. She regularly stayed in contact with her family throughout her trip. However, after not hearing from her after April 20th, they have filed a missing person report with law enforcement on April 29th.
Tiffany went on her trip with a green / gray colored tent, along with a blue and black “Lectric” brand electric bicycle and a red stroller. None of these items have been located.
In order to give the public a better look at Slaton, we are now sharing video of her from April 8th. At the time of this recording, she was in the Santa Cruz area, making her way toward Fresno County.
Although the SAR operation has been scaled back, the Sheriff’s Office is not stopping its search for Slaton. As more leads come in, we continue to investigate.
Please report any sightings or information you have on Slaton’s whereabouts immediately to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111. You may reference case number 25-4458.
